Jonathan Michael
Jonathan Michael Downing, of Cumberland City, TN, formerly from Lake Worth, FL, went to be with the grand architect of the universe on October 29, 2015. He was born in Palm Beach Gardens, FL on August 19, 1982, the son of John Downing and Mary Westrick Downing. Jon or "JD" to his friends, was a retired US Army Special Forces soldier, assigned to the 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne). He was a Bronze Star recipient, having conducted multiple deployments to both Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as other sensitive areas in the region. He was well respected in the Bully community, both as a breeder and a judge. He was a member of Charity Lodge #370, the Amara Shine Center as well as a member of the ROJ Ct 179. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Lynn and Gordon and his grandmother, Shirlee. Jonathan is survived by his loving wife, Vanessa, and their three beautiful children, Dylan, McKayla, and Jon, Jr.; his Mother and Father, his four sisters, Autumn, Jennifer, Samantha, and Sabrina, and grandma, Kathy, along with numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, all who will dearly miss him being awesome! The visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th from 1:00PM to 3:00PM followed by a memorial service at the Nave Erin Chapel, 4639 West Main St, Erin, TN 37061. There will also be a celebration of Jon's life on Wednesday, November 11th at 7:00PM at the Beach Club, One 7th Avenue North, Lake Worth, FL 33460. In lieu of flowers please donate to Task Force Dagger in care of Jonathan Downing at www.taskforcedagger.org (if donating by check write for Downing Family Fund, if using the site PayPal put in the comments section for the Downing family fund).

I miss you dad , one of the greatest memories of all was me being able to call you dad ! From the moment i opened my eyes I knew that you were going to be my best friend, the greatest roll model and so much more . You gave me life , you gave me purpose, you turned are house into a home , and for that you will never be forgotten. You are everything i desire to be and more !
