HOWARD A FORESTER Dec. 11, 1933 - Apr. 5, 2014. Howard A Forester born December 11, 1933, passed away on April 5, 2014 in Paradise, CA. Born in Yuba City to Hubert and Mildred Forester, he served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He is proceeded in death by his parents, Hubert and Mildred, his older brother Lloyd and his younger sister Juanita (aka skeeter) Newell. He is survived by his older brother Ronald Forester, wife Mary Lindner Forester, daughters Sherri Armstrong and husband Randy, DaLene Forester Thacker and husband Ed, Janet Pearson and husband Kevin, and a son Jay Forester and his wife Jeannette. His step-daughter Jodi Mitchell and husband David, step-sons Les Lindner and his wife Heather, Todd Lindner and his wife Debbie, 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grand children. Howard was raised in Paradise, CA then moved to Cottonwood, CA and worked at Rose's Market where he met and married his first wife and the mother of his children, Shirley. Howard had many jobs primarily working in the grocery industry. At one point buying a grocery store in Taylorsville, CA, where he moved with his second wife, Anne, who died suddenly in 1983 leaving him lost for many years. Howard and Anne spent many happy times square dancing in the matching outfits that Anne had made. He later married again to Wilma, his third wife, and learned to paint surprising himself and many others with his talent. They would later divorce. Howard spent his retirement years married to Mary in the home he built and together they traveled, gardened, and hosted children, grand children and great grand children until Alzheimer's began to take him away. Howard loved being outdoors whether it was sitting in the sun with a cold beer or throwing shoes with a Kessler's in hand. He was known for being able to fix anything without spending a dime. Howard made many friends (and a few enemies) throughout his years in the grocery industry, his service with the VFW, as a volunteer firefighter, square dancing, and horseshoe tossing. Howard would say he was not a good man, but did ok with what he had and nothing bothered his a**. No formal services will be held, per his request. GRACE POSTLEWAITE FULLER Sept. 8, 1927 - Mar. 13, 2014 Grace Postlewaite Fuller, 86, of Paradise,CA passed peacefully; her daughter, Susan Barr and son, Tom Lepoutre-Postlewaite were by her side on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Paradise Hospice House. Born September 8, 1927, in Canton, Ohio, to George and Emma Barr. Grace is one of nine children and is survived by her brother, Elmer Barr and sister, Helen Rawlins. She fell in love with Ralph Postlewaite and they married in 1946. During their fourty-nine years of marriage, they showed their children how to love and respect one another. In time, their children began families. Susan (Postlewaite) and her former husband, Skip Gebel welcomed Heather and Nicole. Tom and his wife, Maryse, welcomed Dustin and Elyse. The Postlewaite's gave their dedication and love to each other, their grandchildren, family, and community. When Ralph passed in 1996, Grace once again found love with Harold Fuller in 1997 and moved to Paradise, in close proximity to his daughter, Sue Opp, (married to Harlan), and Harold's sons, Harold Fuller, Jr., and Kenneth (recently deceased). Grace's gift to those she met was her kindness, love, determination, and humor. She was a loving wife, caring mother to her children and step-children. She is survived by six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and Grace is greatly missed by her entire family. She was fond of her garden and animals including dogs, cats, wild turkeys, raccoons, and skunks. She touched the lives of many. You are invited to celebrate Grace's life at the First Christian Church, on Pentz Road, in Paradise on Saturday, April 12th at 2pm. Reception to follow.
