Bessie Tvrdik-Hensley

Bessie Tvrdik-Hensley passed away on September 6, 2012. She was born to Rosie and Charles Tvrdik on April 18, 1927 in Comstock Nebraska.

She graduated from Durham High School in 1944 and worked as a print smith for Contra Costa Jr. College until retirement.
Bessie was "The Real Grandma Type" awesome cook, baked 4 times a week, sewed her girl's dresses growing up. After retirement she made quilts, crocheted afghans, scarves, sweaters and loved to garden. Flowers were always blooming in her yard.
She was a member of the Ridge Quilters from 2001-2005.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Hensley in 2008 and her daughter Georgia Lilly.
Bessie is survived by her daughter Cheryl Wilkinson, son-n-law Joel Wilkinson of Paradise; granddaughters Laruen Dixon of Yuba City CA, Chloe Wilkinson; grandson, Scott Lilly of Vacaville CA; great grandchildren Riley Lilly, Morgyan Lilly, Teagan Dixon and Layla Dixon.

Inurnment will be at the Paradise Cemetery. Donations may be made in her name thru the
Arrangements were made by the Chapel of the Pines.
