FRAN WALTON JUNE 18, 1935 - MAR. 26, 2014 Frances Perong Fry Walton was born to Lowell and Mary (Perong) Fry at Temperance, Michigan on June 18, 1935, as the third of five girls. The family moved to California when she was seven, and she grew up in Puente, graduating from Bassett Grammar School and Puente High School. She met and married Joseph Clyde Walton when she was nineteen and working as a telephone operator. They lived in West Covina where their children were born: Mark, Jody, David, and Jennifer. Fran and Joe moved to Paradise in 1974, looking for a better place to raise a family and to be nearer to other family who were there. They lived on Walton's Mountain Road which they were proud to have named. When Joe died in 1993, Fran moved to a smaller place that she decorated and loved as much as her treasured home on Walton's Mountain. Fran's life always centered around her Lord Jesus and her family. She was an inspiration and a support for her family and a light to her dear friends. She was the center of family life and always ready to host a game night. In her last days her granddaughter Tiffany was her constant caregiver and her rock. She is survived by her sons Mark Walton and David (Debbie) Walton, daughters Jody Fields Elliott and Jennifer (Billy) Fields; grandchildren A.J. Walton, Kimberley Taylor, Christopher Fields, Tiffany Lanser, Matthew Fields, McKenna Fields, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
