Margaret Gripon-Rines(1918-2012)

Margaret Clark Gripon Rines went home to her Lord Jesus on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Redding, California. She had recently been residing for several months at the St. Lorenz Assisted Care Home in Redding.

Margaret was born September 30, 1918 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Maude and Walter Gripon. In 1934, her family moved to Alameda, California. She spent many years living in the San Francisco Bay Area, but the last years of her life were spent in Paradise and Magalia, California. She was predeceased by three husbands: Kenneth Richardson, father of her four children; Russell Gibbs, the love of her life; and Frank Rines, who in later years shared her faith.

She is survived by her son and his wife, Larry and Gloria Richardson of Villa Grande, three daughters; Ann Renard of Calistoga, Robin Kinkley and son-in-law Gary Kinkley of Graeagle, Lee Tydeman of Redding, and daughter-in-law Karen Silveira of Arvada, Colorado. Margaret is also survived by eleven grandchildren: Ken Richardson, Lance Richardson, and Tracy Richardson Anderson; Eric Breuer and Lorann Tallitsch; Ronald Ulrich, Rayne Marr, Zoe Cockerill, and Ithyle Griffith; Michael Dean and Steven Dean.
Margaret leaves seventeen great-grandchildren: Maggie, Scarlett, Jack, and Duke Richardson; Henry and Sophia Anderson;Beverly Breuer; Cassie Henderson and Austen Snow; Ryland Blaine; Maxwell and Megan Marr; Dominic Cockerill; Haley Dean; Hailie Miller, Kayla Schaible and Reanna Dean. Also to be included in Margaret's family are granddaughter-in-law Kathy Silveira Escobar, her husband Robert, and their five children Joshua, Jamison, Julia, Jonas, and Jared. The most recent addition to her family is a great-great granddaughter, Daisy Blue Richardson born in May 2011 to great-granddaughter Maggie Richardson.

Margaret leaves one sister, Patricia Waldron of Redding, three nieces, Monica Coffin, Cindy Crom, and Mindy Howe, as well as seven grand-nieces and nephews and seven great-grand nieces and nephews.

A strong woman of absolute faith in God, wherever Margaret lived she faithfully attended church services and loved to sing the old familiar Gospel hymns. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her, but they take comfort knowing that she is in the place she looked forward to, the arms of the Savior she loved.

A memorial service for Margaret has been scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the Paradise Alliance Church at 6491 Clark Road, Paradise, California 95969.
