Kent Textor Obituary

Kent William Textor, of Paradise, went to be with the Lord on April 18, 2009, at Enloe Medical Center after a courageous battle. His family was by his side.

He was born in Toledo, Ohio, on June 10, 1938 to Franklin and Olive "Duff" Textor. He was the oldest of two children. The family moved to California in 1947. Kent graduated from La Jolla High School, attended Palomar College, and served honorably in the U.S. Marines. He married Linda Baldwin on September 17, 1960. Kent enjoyed a career with the California Department of Forestry until health issues forced an early retirement.

Kent was a dedicated Christian who fellowshipped at Calvary Chapel of Magalia. He was active in Christian motorcycle ministries and many of his happiest times were spent with his wife riding their Harley.

In passing, Kent leaves his wife of 48 years, Linda Textor; brother, Neil Textor of Libby, MT; son, Todd Textor and wife Terry of Monterey; daughters, Karen Story and husband Keith of Quincy, and Cori Stringer and husband Darren of Elk Grove; along with their five grandchildren, Cody, Hannah, Hayley, Breckin, and Brogan.

A celebration of Kent's life will take place on Sunday, May 3rd at 2 p.m. at Calvary Chapel of Magalia.

An opportunity to express condolences to the family and sign the memorial guest register is available at www.nbcfh.com
