Ronald Dean Maurer, 64, of Magalia, passed away on November, 14 2013.
Ron was born in Petaluma, Ca to Ralph Maurer and Flossie Brooner on June, 30 1949. He and his wife of 36 years, Pamela Maurer (preceded in death), were long-time San Jose residents prior to retiring to Orwood, then finally settling here in Magalia. He worked as a commercial tire serviceman for nearly thirty years. Ron served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was a Purple Heart recipient. He was a trustee for several years at the local Fraternal Order of Eagles. His kind heart and keen sense of humor will be missed.
Ron was preceded in death by his older brother, Richard, and his younger sister, Patty.
He is survived by his sisters; Joyce, Linda, Janet and Wendy. He was a loving father to Tammy, Sheila, Ronnie, Donny, and foster father to Raquel. Ron was the proud grandfather of Katie, CJ, Damun, Chase, Ryley, Tabatha, Savannah and Clayton.
