Mildred Louise "Midge" Kiesel passed away peacefully in her sleep at Paradise Hospice on January 29, 2013. Midge was a native Californian, born on June 17, 1929 in Montebello, California, to wonderful parents Bertie and Ernest Abee. She attended Montebello schools and graduated from Garfield High.
The Guest Book is expired.
Midge married Ed Kiesel on September 4, 1948. When Ed and Midge decided to hang up the Southern California life after Ed's retirement, they decided on Northern California. Good choice. She loved the distinct seasons in Paradise. Midge and Ed joined the Elks, the bowling team, and had many parties at their house. Friends, family, and acquaintances were always welcome to the Kiesel house. Midge worked at Standard Beauty for many years that put her in direct contact with the townspeople. Life was good and it remained that way until her death.
Midge was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ed. She is survived in life by her brother and sister-in-law, Ralph & Leota Abee and their children; by her loving son Jeffery, her loving daughter-in-law Jan, and her loving grandchildren Zachary, Erik, and Alexandria; by her loving son Brett and his husband Ron; and by close friends Mary Kay Taylor and Larry Taylor.
A celebration of her life will be held on February 2, 2013 at her home in Paradise, California, for further information please contact her family directly. In lieu of flowers she wished friends make a donation in her name to the Hospice Foundation of Feather River Hospital (aka Paradise Hospice) in Paradise, California.
