Mildred (Millie) Myrtle Patenaude, 91, went to be with the Lord on 8/20/2013. Born on 11/7/21, in Greenfield, Massachusetts.
She married the one and only love of her life, Clayton E. (Pat) Patenaude, on 12-28-1938, in Bellow Falls, Vermont. They moved to California in 1947. She worked for Eastman Kodak in Palo Alto as a Quality Inspection Control Trainer. In 1976 settled in Paradise, where she volunteered for nearly 10 years, as an Ombudsmen for the elderly. She was a long time member of the Rock and Gem Club and a loyal member of Calvary Chapel of Magalia. Millie loved rock hounding, making jewelry, photography, painting, all crafts and singing.
She is preceded in death by her husband 'Pat' of 49 years, her son, Charles Patenaude, her sister and brother, one granddaughter and 2 great grandsons.
She is survived by her daughter, Wendy Swartzell, 13 grandchildren & 37 great- grandchildren & 41 great-great grandchildren.
Millie was a woman of extreme strength and courage. She was loved and admired by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.
Special thanks to the staff of Sunshine House who became her extended family over the last 4 years.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Sep. 21, 2013 @ 11 am at Calvary Chapel in Magalia. A scattering of ashes at sea in San Francisco will take place at a later date.
