Noble H. "Nobby" Arnold of Paradise passed away at age 84 on September 1, 2004 in Chico.

Nobby was born to James and Rosa Arnold of Minneapolis, MN in 1920. He was the third of five siblings and was preceded in death by his brother Sidney Arnold and his sister, Florence Bressler.
He married his wife in 1964 and they resided in Burbank for 29 years. They moved to Paradise 10 years ago. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Jeanette; his son, Barry Arnold of Santa Maria; his daughter, Lee Ann Martin of Cupertino; his sister, Jean Archer of Las Vegas; his brother, James Arnold of Stockton; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
He served as a Gunners Mate in the US Navy and when he returned from the service, he worked in the light manufacturing industry in a supervisory capacity and retired as Plant Superintendent from Poly Craft Systems, Inc. in Burbank in 1993.
Nobby loved people and animals and was much loved in return. He enjoyed teaching others especially youngsters in how to use tools and how to build for themselves. His joy in life was lending a helping hand to friends and family and building wonderful creations for his children, grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He created a half scale Model A car, a ¾ scale C-cab truck, a 10 foot airplane model, a pedaled horse cart, a four horse Merry Go Round and many other creative items.
A memorial service will be held at Rose Chapel of Paradise, followed by a gathering of relatives and friends at his home to share happy memories and to celebrate his life.
