Kenneth Scott Condit Obituary
KENNETH SCOTT CONDIT Kenneth Scott Condit "Uncle Ken", long time resident of Paradise, passed away Thursday, August 7 at the age of 62 after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Born July 14, 1952 in Concord, California, he is survived by his brother Jeffery Condit, sister Cynthia Condit, niece Kristen Condit-Lembcke, niece Hannah Condit-Hrsak, nephew Seth Condit, and great nephews James, Josiah, Caleb and Thomas. He was predeceased by parents Eugene and Elaine Condit long time residents of Paradise. After moving to Paradise with his family, he attended Paradise Elementary, Intermediate and High Schools. Ken joined the Army and after being honorably discharged he returned to Paradise and earned his AA from Butte College then completed the Police Academy. He worked in security, ground keeping and maintenance until disabled by Parkinson's disease. Ken was a Boy Scout in his youth. Early hobbies included cartooning and later in life included martial arts, Yoga, running, and physical fitness. A strong Christian, he was a member and regular attendee of the Paradise Christian Missionary Alliance (CMA) church for nearly 40 years. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 14, at 2:00 PM at the Paradise Cemetery on Elliott Road. A reception will immediately follow the service at the Condit home on Fern Lane in Paradise. Please bring pictures, memories, and stories to share.
