Mark R. Suhar passed away on Friday, July 4, 2008 in Magalia, CA. He was born in Oakland, CA and grew up in Hayward, CA. At the age of 17, Mark enlisted in the Navy and served a tour of duty on the USS Ticonderoga during the Vietnam War. He received two bronze stars for his tour of duty.

Mark was an avid biker since he was 16 years old and loved Harley Davidson motorcycles. He built three of his own bikes and co-owned BAAD Motorcycles in Monterey and later Lowtide Motorcycles in Paradise, CA. He was also a counselor for Men's Alternative To Violence in Salinas, CA. Before his retirement in 2000, he worked as an engineer at the Monterey Plaza Hotel.
He was a die hard Oakland Raider's fan and in recent years he enjoyed going to the Chico Outlaws baseball games.
Mark is preceded in death by his father Edward Suhar and mother Lou Morales and a brother Dennis.
He is survived by his wife Kathy of 22-1/2 years, daughters, Porcha Suhar, life partner Eddie Torres of Hollister, CA; Desiree Suhar of Seaside, CA; Sara Wilson of Morgantown, W. VA; and Bridget Rood, husband George of Seaside, Ca; eight grandchildren Kevin, Maliyah, Alina, Brandon, Nikolas, Aidan, Billy and #8 due in August, Mark; mother-in-law Sara Hagan of Magalia, several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws.
Mark will be deeply missed by all his family and friends. He will always live in our hearts.
