William M. Nichols, 61 passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2010 in Magalia, CA with his family by his side. Bill was born October 16, 1948 in Redding, CA to Lowell and Helen Nichols.

Bill enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1970 during the Vietnam War and was a UDT-Navy Seal and a Quarter Master II. He was given a Purple Heart and earned many other metals. He received an honorable discharge in 1973. He moved to Chico in 1986. Bill was a building contractor and helped build the Chico Mall, Chico City Hall and many other building projects in Butte County. Bill was a gourmet cook, duck hunter, wood worker, and loved fishing and traveling.
He is survived by his wife Debbie Nichols; son, William Nichols; brother, Lowell Nichols; sister, Susan Engle; step-mother, Ethel Nichols; granddaughter, Charlotte Nichols; step-sister, Karen Aase; five step-sons, Adam Parsons, Sam Parsons, Jonathan Parsons and Joey Phillippe, Brian Phillippe and four step-grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the Paradise Alliance Church, 6491 Clark Rd.
