Paradise resident David H. Dold passed away on October 16, 2013. David was 74 years old. He was born in El Centro California on July 31, 1939 to Haden W. and E. Jean Dold. He is survived by his wife Kathy of Paradise and Son Christopher of Chico. His Aunt Mary Enloe of Arizona. Two Cousins: G. Lynn Dold of Kansas and Kent Shores of Texas.
David served in the Army, training as a medic and the driver of an armored personnel carrier. After his military service he worked for Kaiser Aluminum in Oakland, and as the manager of the water district in Jackson, CA. For 16 years David was self-employeed as a barber in Paradise.
David was a self taught painter in pastel chalks, acrylics and oil painting in the style of the impressionist. He also loved to fly and obtained his private pilot's license. He was an avid gardener and loved to watch things grow. After his retirement David could be found on many of the local golf courses along with his faithful companion Jigs, the dog. He will be missed.
