MARJORIE NORDWALL A memorial Service will be held for Marjorie Nordwall, 93 of Paradise, on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Paradise. She went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, February 19th in Paradise. Marjorie was born March 14, 1921 in San Diego to James and Beatrice Landis although she was raised by her mother and step father, Sam McMullen. After high school she graduated from The Chouinard Art Institute in Los Angeles. On January 29, 1949 Marjorie married Elbert Nordwall in San Gabriel, CA. At the age of 35 she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. Her career as an artist was dedicated to the glory of God. Her most well-known art work was her "Love Portraits of Jesus", a collection of nine paintings depicting Jesus' life. Marjorie was a frequent speaker at various women's groups where she gave her testimony and shared her art work. She loved teaching Good News Clubs through Child Evangelism Fellowship for many years. In recent years she and her close friend, Wanda Ames, ministered to residents at local nursing homes. Marjorie is survived by her two daughters, Teresa (Dave) Stover and Annie (Tracy) Orr; five grandchildren, Brian Stover, Kelly Higelin, Sam Stover, Jake Guild and Dallas Guild; four great grandchildren, Skylah Higelin, Micah Higelin, James Stover and Olivia Guild. She was preceded in death by her husband Elbert in 1992 and her brother James Landis in 2001. Marjorie's life was focused on her love for her Savior Jesus Christ.

Marjorie,
I always enjoyed our times together and was saddened to find you no longer here when I was able to return to Paradise to visit. I had not received word of your passing into our beloved Lord's hands and my search of local care homes proved fruitless until I went to your church and was given the news. your picture was taken down at the local clinic who, apparently is going the way of the world, being politically correct. I found a welcoming home for it at a local Methodist congregation, right in foyer as you enter the church, you would smile to see it there. Your funding assistance in my time of need was returned through your churches ministries for women and children which was in keeping with your works while you were able on this earth. Now you are blessed with our Lord`s presence, day and night, with Bert at your side, praising our Lord as you always have. Lord Bless you Marjorie and I am looking forward to meeting up with you again. Love Forever and Always,

Mom, I love you and miss you but I am so happy that you are in heaven with Jesus and Daddy and your other loved ones. I try to imagine what you are doing. I do know you will be hugging and hanging onto Jesus for all eternity. Your service was so beautiful today. You were honored and truly loved. I hope you were able to peek down from heaven and watch. I think you would be smiling. Bye, Mommy. See you soon, your daughter Teresa xoxo

I was very saddened to learn of Marjorie's passing.
Although I knew her for a short period of time, I felt as though I have known her for far longer than that. I remember her as a very loving, caring person who
was also a prayer warrior. Her vigilant prayers, support and friendship blessed my life in many ways.

She will be missed, although I know that I will see
her someday in heaven.
