Early afternoon May 31, 2013 our beloved Mother, cherished sister, grandmother, companion and friend, Ruby Iola Larsen, relinquished her temporal bonds as she succumb with a peaceful acquiescence to the summons of our redeemer and savior, Jesus Christ, unto the glory of God Almighty in the highest.
Ruby passed over at her home in Taylorsville, UT with her sons and daughter-in-law by her side. Also in appreciated company were a pastor and nurse. For more than half a decade Ruby had been challenged with infirmities of debilitating consequence. Throughout she had endured admirably, while a fortitude undaunted, maintained her integrity; and in her silence, she steadfastly held her dignity. Her love is inspiring. We shall forever love you Mama and surely could never forget your beautiful, beautiful smile.
Born in Park City, UT., Dec. 6, 1924, Ruby was the third of nine children born to Ola Willard Larsen and Florence Ethel Sweatfield Larsen: Minnie- Willard- Ruby- Loran- Guy- Neal- Stanley- Nellie and Gail Larsen. A large family with a lot of love! Ruby bear five children of three marriages. John D Zmuda, Robert Zmuda, Gregory G Zmuda, Beverly Marie Johnson and Zachary G Henrion. She raised four of them in Park City of old. A stoutly dedicated single mother, she worked long and earnestly at every thing she did. She was well known and liked. Her nature was quiet and honest. She moved to Taylorsville UT., mid eighties where she retired from Hilton Hotels late eighties. Three progressive generations of grand children are born of her linage while she lived.
Preceded in passing by her sister Minnie Larsen, son Robert Larsen, Father Ola and Mother Florence Larsen, brother Willard Larsen, granddaughter Debbie Zmuda, brother Loran Larsen and brother Guy Larsen.
Survived by son John and wife Janie Zmuda and children, son Zachary and wife Tracey Henrion and children, and son Greg or Gary Zmuda of SL valley, daughter Beverly Johnson Dixon Pinder and grandson Barry Ray Johnson of Heber, UT., brothers Neal Larsen, Stanley and wife Maxine Larsen of Heber UT., sister Nellie Wall, brother Gail and wife Lucy Larsen of Tooele, UT. Also many endeared nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.
Two public proceedings in respect of Ruby are to be observed on Saturday June 29, 2013, at 3:00pm; services in commemoration and celebration of Ruby's life will be offered at Kingdom Life Ministries, 1300 South 222 SLC, UT. with food and refreshment culminating the occasion.
The following Monday, July 1, 2013 at 11:00 am ministry services will be held at the Park City cemetery on Kearns Blvd. whereat Ruby's remains will be interred within the burial plot of her Beloved Mother and Father.
