Michael John Reed
July 7, 1959 – March 28, 2014

Our wonderful son, father, brother, uncle, grandson and friend, Michael John Reed, passed away Friday, March 28, 2014, in Heber City, Utah, from complications suffered from an electrical accident in 1993. Born July 7, 1959, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, the son of William J. and Patsy Siddoway Reed. Mike graduated from Park City High School and later made Heber City his home.
Mike loved hunting, fishing, playing darts, and going camping with his family. He had a heart of gold and donated his time and energy to scouting, little league and taking his many cousins, nephews and nieces fishing. Mike was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Michael is survived by his son, Tyler Draper; parents, William and Patsy Reed; two brothers: Bill (Valory) Reed, Greg Reed; sister, Laurie (Rick) Provost; grandmother, Gwen Larsen; also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and his loyal friend and companion dog, Missy. He is preceded in death by his grandparents: William and Elizabeth Reed, Frank Siddoway, Willard Larsen; and two aunts: Janet Reed and Linda Reed.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Olpin-Hoopes Funeral Home, 288 North Main Street, Heber City. Friends and family are invited to visit with the family on Wednesday, April 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., prior to the services, both at the funeral home. Interment will follow the services in the Wanship Cemetery at approximately 12:30 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.olpinhoopes.com.
