Thomas Patrick Ryan
Born February 3, 1958 in Argentia, Province of Newfoundland, Canada passed away the morning of November 6, 2012 at his home in Running Springs, California. Master Sergeant Thomas Patrick Ryan retired from the Air Force after serving for 17 years in Germany, New Mexico and California. Tom graduated from Cal State San Bernardino and was employed at Patton State Hospital, as well as, San Bernardino International Airport. Tom was preceded in death by his mother Thea. Survived by his loving wife Susan, and four step children Martin Cervantez & his wife Shannon and their daughters Demi, Kennedy and Delaney; Michelle Van Slyke & husband Paul; Jason Cervantes & his children Adrian, Tristan, Bishop and Garin; Jessica Cervantez & Brian Newbraugh (Tom's chess partner) and daughter Zoe Jane. In addition, he is survived by his father John Ryan and step-mother Joan. He leaves four brothers and two sisters, John Ryan & wife Mary Ann, Dennis Ryan, Whitey Ryan & wife Crissy, Andy Ryan & wife Belinda, Dorle Cordrey & husband Ken, and Colleen Ryan. In addition, 16 nieces and nephews and one grand nephew and two grand nieces. He also leaves relatives in Germany and the east coast. Tom and his wife Susan enjoyed traveling in their RV throughout the US, Canada and British Columbia. While in Europe, they rented a car and together they drove through nine countries. Tom was loved by all who knew him. Per Tom's request, no services will occur.
