Huebner, Lester  
HUEBNER, Lester Lester Huebner, 94, of Pasadena passed away November 13, 2014. He was a loving husband, and a beloved Father, Grandfather (Papa & Pops) and Great Grandfather. He was born September 2, 1920 in Toledo, Ohio. Les married Norma Jones in 1945 three weeks after returning from WWII, and they made their home in California in 1946. Les and Norma lived in Monrovia and Pasadena their 63 years of married life. Les is survived by Susan Linder, Patti and Terry Walker, Carol Polchow and Dan Gonzalez along with 7 grandchildren Kirsten, Whitney, Kiley and Matt, Kimberly and Ryan, Cassie, Emily, Kirk and 6 great grandchildren, Madelynn, Corbin, Elky, Callen, Cole and Declan. Les was very proud to be a WWII Veteran, traveling to Europe on the Queen Mary. He was privileged to see the maiden voyage of the Spruce Goose in the bay of Long Beach. Les worked for the Jet Propulsion Laboratory retiring after 30 years. He worked many years as a board member on the Cal -Tech Credit Union. Outside of work he had a great love for cars and built a 1913 Model T Roadster from the ground up. His love for nature and travel took Les and Norma on many adventures. They traveled to many countries in Europe. In their motorhome Les and Norma traveled with the JPL Wheels Camping Club and the Good Neighbor Sam Club making many lifelong friends. Alaska and its' great highway was one of his favorite adventures. Les will be deeply missed by all. A visitation at Douglas and Zook Mortuary on Thursday, November 20th from 5:00-8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held on Friday November 21st 10:00 AM in the chapel of Douglas and Zook Mortuary with interment to follow in Rose Hills Memorial Park for those who wish to attend.

HUNTING, Lura Lee Ann Lura Lee Ann Hunting of Altadena, CA passed away November 11, 2014 with her family at her side. She was born in Pensacola, FL January 24, 1941 and settled with her parents in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, CA in 1945. She later attended St Elizabeth's grammar school in Altadena, CA and attended Mayfield Senior School in Pasadena, CA. She earned a singing scholarship to Immaculate Heart College in Los Angeles CA. She later met Curtis Joseph Hunting of Spokane, WA and they were married in St. Elizabeth church in in 1960. They have three sons, Brian, James and Joseph. Lura Lee remained a dedicated homemaker for most of her life, enjoying cooking for her family and friends and arranging fun vacation activities. She worked for a Pasadena law firm for a several years in the 1970's and 1980's. She is survived by her husband, Curtis, of 54 years, their three sons, a brother, niece and nephew. Lura Lee Hunting was 73. Born: January 24, 1941 Died: November 11, 2014 A rosary will be said on Tuesday, November 18 at 7:00 PM at Cabot & Sons, 27 Chestnut St. in Pasadena. A funeral is planned for Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Saint Elizabeth church in Altadena.

Halladay, Phyllis M. McGowan Halladay, Phyllis M. McGowan, born March 20, 1919, died peacefully October 15, 2014 in Pasadena, California. Born in Greenleaf, Wisconsin, to Leslie C. and Addie M. McGowan, she moved in 1941 to Los Angeles. She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Franklin D. Halladay, her sister Elaine E. McGowan Grundl of Gaithersburg, Maryland, two nephews and one niece. A private funeral service was held in St. Vibiana's Chapel at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, where she is interred in the Crypt Mausoleum. Cabot & Sons, Pasadena
