GRUENDL, Dr. Leslie Jay Tepper PhD

Dr. Leslie Jay Tepper (Gruendl), passed Wednesday, February 5, 2014 in the comfort of her parent's home in Murphys, California. The beautiful daughter of Raymond and Charlotte Gruendl, Leslie is at rest following a
courageous seven year battle with cancer. Born in Oakland, California and resided in Los Angeles County. She led the good life traveling and exploring; enjoyed Montclair Park, a fan of horse racing, socializing at her favorite cantina, and spending time with her loving companion Paul Hoffman. Dr. Tepper received her BA in Political Science (1982) cum laude, from CSU, Northridge; MS of Psychology (1985) from California Lutheran College; and Doctor of Philosophy - Clinical Psychology (1991) from the California Graduate Institute of Los Angeles. She knew Sign Language, was researcher at UCLA, and Clinical Director for Fuller Theological Seminary; served on many councils and boards, and she was a published author. Licensed by the California Board of Psychology, she was known as a leader in her field and concluded her career as a solo private practitioner in Pasadena. She is survived by her loving son, Beau St. John, his wife Besh, and grandchildren Alice and Matthew; her parents Raymond and Charlotte Gruendl; her long time loving companion Paul Hoffman; and her brothers Alan, Greg (wife Peggy and son Jared), Stuart (sons Cole, Blake, and Dane), and Scott (partner Nicholas) Gruendl.
Funeral Service to be held Saturday, February 15th, 11:00AM, Saint Patrick's Catholic Church, 621 Sheep Ranch Road, Murphys, California, 95247. Celebration of Life to be scheduled at a later date for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations in Leslie's name to Hospice of Amador-Calaveras, 1500 South Highway 49, Suite 205, Jackson, CA 95642.
