Marco Alleruzzo Obituary
August 5,1923 – December 3, 2016
Nunziato "Marco" Alleruzzo died peacefully at his home in Pasadena on December 3, 2016. Marco was born in Boston, MA. As a young man, he moved to California and enlisted in the AAF during WWII and earned the rank of staff sergeant. He served as a ball turret gunner aboard the fleet of B24 Liberators in the Mediterranean Campaign.
He was married to Connie "Concepcion Hinojosa" Alleruzzo for 70 years. His loving family included 5 children - Giovanni "John", Mario, Nancy, Gina, and Francesco. Grandchildren - Maya, Alex, Rico , Gino, Candice, and Alyssa. Great-grandchildren - Layla and Nicolas.
Marco loved gardening and worked as a gardener for the cities of Pasadena and Glendale. He was also an avid Karaoke singer affectionately known as Dean Marco.
A vigil is planned for THURSDAY, DECEMBER 15TH, Cabot and Sons Funeral Home, 27 Chestnut Street, Pasadena, CA 91103 between 4:00 PM to 9:00PM.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrews Catholic Church Friday, December 16th at 10:00am. 311 North Raymond Avenue, Pasadena, CA 91103
COMMITTAL AT CEMETERY W/HONOR GUARD, immediately following Mass. RESURRECTION CEMETERY, 966 Potrero Grande Drive, Rosemead, 91770
RECEPTION, 2:00pm, following Committal AMERICAN LEGION, 179 N Vinedo Ave, Pasadena, 91107.
