Born in Colton, Ca. to parents Jessie Martinez and Pete Ruiz, married (late) Frank R. Lechuga Sr., sons Timothy (Tommy) Sr., Frank Jr., and Greg Lechuga. Daughters Vivian, Linda, (late) Frances, Gloria (Butchie), Rebecca (Becky) Lechuga all of San Bernardino. Brothers Floyd Ruiz Sr., Ed Preciado Jr., Tony Preciado. Sisters Betty Herrera and Rita Preciado.
Gloria was a survivor of the time of the Great Depression and the Black Tuesday Stock Market Crash 10-29-29. She was raised by her grandparents Adolfph and Julia Martinez, her play ground was Agua Mansa Cemetery as her papa was the caretaker.
Beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, Gloria leaves a legacy of being a proverbs 31 wife and woman. A woman of multitalents, homemaker, cook, baker, seamstress, gardener, floral designer and cake decorator. Gloria was an avid clown collector.
While Frank coached and trained the neighborhood kids in Popwarner football, Little League baseball and Los Padrinos, Gloria transported the kids with all their games, they supplied the kids with all their sports equipment including shoes, gloves, bats etc. Later she became a sponsor for children outreach programs donating toys and dolls for several years.
Services will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2014 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Gravesite services will be held on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 10:00 a.m., both at Montecito memorial Park, 3520 Washington St. Colton, Ca 92324 (909) 825-3024
