Jacobus "Joe" de Leeuw
83, of Chino passed away on November 13, 2013 in Upland. He was born on May 26, 1930 in Laren, The Nether- lands and resided in Chino for 58 years. Joe moved to the United States after the war at age 20 where he met and married his wife Susan in 1952. He devoted over 40 years as a Plumber and was a jack of all trades. Joe had many hobbies and interests. He loved to dance, especially to music of the Big Band Era. He also loved to watch Soccer and Cycling, especially Dutch Soccer. Joe also loved to tinker around the house with gardening and home projects. There was nothing he couldn't fix. He was very artistic, liked to paint, draw and do lead glass. Joe especially loved to have a good time with family and friends by telling stories and laughing. He will be missed so much. Joe was his families Rock, their mentor and their friend. Left to cherish his memory are his 4 children, Cora and husband Paul Kist of Chino, Margaret and husband Greg Shaw of Chino, Joann and husband Steve Gillan of San Clemente and Steve and wife Sara de Leeuw of Ontario, 8 grandchildren Ryan (wife Christie), Erin, AK, Colin (wife Lauren), Matt, Amy, McGuire and Evan and his sister Sabine and husband Frans Fennis of The Netherlands. Joe is preceded in death by his sister Margaret and his wife Susan. Visitation hours will be from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. followed by a service at 12 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Pierce Brothers Griffith Mortuary in Chino. F.D.A.
