Janet Meub Krueger

KRUEGER-Janet Meub Krueger, Our beloved Mother, Grandmother & Great-Grandmother passed away June 7, 2009. Janet Elizabeth Meub was born in Pasadena, CA on December 13, 1916 to Olga & Albert P. Meub (well known teacher and penman). She spoke often of her remarkable parents & wonderful childhood growing up in Pasadena. She attended Pasadena JC. Her sorority, Tau Theta Phi became an important part of her life as friendships continued into their elderly years. She worked at Citizens Bank on Colorado Blvd. She met & fell in love with Walt Krueger dancing to the famous big bands of Glenn Miller & others. They were married November 18, 1938. They raised their four children in San Gabriel &were active members of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Arcadia. Loving and caring, she devoted her life to her family. Whether it be schoolwork, scouting, sports, picnics or parties, she was our guide on a daily basis and our inspiration. She had varied interests and was an accomplished seamstress making many of our clothes. In the early 60's Mom & Dad made their first tripto Hawaii. They especially loved Maui & it soon became their second home for many years. They so enjoyed sharing the Aloha Spirit with family & friends there. Our Mother moved to Carlsbad in 1998 and enjoyed living closer to her children and the ocean. Our beautiful Mom with her indomitable spirit, perseverance in adversity, generosity and devotion to her family will forever be in our hearts. Survived by her loving children, Stephanie Krueger Watkins (Bill) of Santa Rosa, Christina Krueger Lombard (Gil) of Rancho Santa Fe, Walt Krueger Jr. (Chrystene) of San Juan Capistrano and Jon Krueger of Newport Coast. Her loving Grandchildren, Jeff Lombard of Portland, Oregon, Scott Krueger (LeeAnn) of Huntington Beach, Matthew Krueger (Beth) of Aliso Viejo, and Suzanne Watkins Aughenbaugh (David) of Sebastopol. Her loving Great-Grandchildren, Jack, Blake and Connor Krueger and Julia and Daniel Aughenbaugh Also survived by her brother, Dr. Daniel Meub of V ermont. Predeceased by her sister, Rosalie Stapleton. Our deep gratitude to Dr. Andre R. Sanschagrin, M.D. for his special care and to the caring staff of Scripps Encinitas Hospital blood bank, lab, IAU and Short Stay. Private family services at Rose Hills, Whittier.
