Janine Marie Ditch (Relstab)
Age 62, passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014, after a
4 1/2 year battle with breast cancer at her home in Chino Hills, California surrounded by her family. She was born on November 23, 1951 in San Pedro, California to June Kittell and Kenneth George Relstab. She graduated from San Pedro High School in San Pedro, California. Janine married Thomas Dale Ditch at Holy Trinity Church on April 24, 1971, and together they raised three daughters.
Janine bought and sold multiple businesses over the last 30 years. She found ways to use her business skills and talent to work from home while raising a family. Janine also had a tenacious love for bowling, first participating in the United States Women's Bowling Team in 1983 in Caracas, Venezuela and later was inducted into the Women's International Bowling Congress Hall of Fame in 1992.
Janine will be remembered for many things: her competitive and strong-willed personality, her love for bowling, football, baseball, and poker. Her fight, persistence, and pure will to live each day to its fullest were something we will never forget. Her husband, kids, and grandkids were the joys of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband Thomas Ditch; children, Diane (Brandon) Tabaldo, Debbie (Spencer) Waldron, and Denise (Scott) Frame; 2 grandchildren, Madelyn and Jack, and 2 grandsons on the way. In lieu of flowers, Janine would have liked any donations to be sent to the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Bowl for the Cure. Donations can be made at http://www.bowl.com/bftc/.
A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Chapel Chino Valley at 12205 Pipeline Avenue, Chino, California. Luncheon immediately following.
