Mary B. Speck, passed away May 21, 2012, at her home in Glendora, CA, at the age of 84. Born in Milwaukee, WI, Mary moved to California in 1945 to attend Pomona College. She graduated from Pomona College in 1949 and married her husband of 61 years, Richard Speck, in 1950. She and Richard moved to Glendora, CA in 1955, where they raised their two sons, Steve and Craig. Mary was an elementary school teacher in Glendora for 36 years. During her career, she earned her Masters Degree in Education from Pepperdine University. After retiring from teaching in 1991, Mary was an active volunteer at Huntington Memorial Hospital and the Glendora After Stroke Support Group. Spending most of her life in the Los Angeles area, she became an avid Lakers fan who rarely missed an opportunity to watch a game. Her loving, caring, and witty personality were enjoyed by all who had the pleasure of meeting her. She will be missed by many. Mary is survived by her husband, Richard Speck, her son Craig Speck, and his wife, Janis Speck of Rocklin, CA; her brother Edward Bulmahn and his wife Hester, as well as many dear friends and extended family. Memorial services will be held on May 29, 2012, at 1:00 PM, Lorraine Avenue Baptist Church, 151 S. Lorraine Avenue, Glendora, CA, 91741. A reception will follow the service
