Mary Raynaud was born on December 5, 1918 in El Centro, California to Pierre and Denise Labrucherie of France. She passed away peacefully on December 15, 2013 at her home in Ontario, California.
She grew up in El Centro on a dairy farm. After graduating from El Centro High School, she worked for the Southern California Gas Company while attending El Centro Community College. In 1944 she married Leon Raynaud, the love of her life, and husband of 64 years. They resided in Santa Maria, California for most of their married lives. Mary served as a secretary for both the Guadalupe Elementary School and the Superintendent of the Guadalupe School District. She and her husband loved to travel, hunt, fish, play cards and regularly hosted fun-filled Santa Maria barbeque parties for family and friends.
In addition to her husband Leon, Mary is preceded in death by her sister Rose Bryant and brothers John, Bob, and Raymond Labrucherie. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.
Mary's grandnephew, Father Brendan Bartlett, will officiate a Rosary at 8:30 a.m., and Mass at 9:00 a.m., at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Ontario on Friday, December 27, 2013, followed by Interment at Bellevue Cemetery in Ontario. Memorial contributions may be made to
