Paul Victor Wicorek Paul Victor Wicorek, 82, entered eternal peace on Friday, September 10, 2010 in Palm Desert, CA. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Driscoll Wicorek. Paul retired from the Press-Telegram newspaper where he worked in the advertising division for many years. He was a long time resident of Lakewood, CA, and moved to the Palm Desert area, where he enjoyed his new home and made many, many dear friends. Paul enjoyed golfing, playing poker and visiting the nearby casinos. He loved to travel and was able to see many areas of the world during his Golden Years. Paul also volunteered at Eisenhower Medical Center, where he was greatly loved by the patients and staff because of his compassion and upbeat personality. Paul always found the best in people. He always looked forward to visiting his grandchildren, Ryan, Taylor, Kyle and Dylan, and often came bearing donuts, all to their delight. Paul is survived by his three children: Edward Wicorek D.D.S., Gigi Hammond and Dan Wicorek D.D.S. Paul will be greatly missed, along with his eternal optimism. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 11:00 am at St. Cyprians Catholic Church, 5133 E Arbor Rd., Long Beach, CA 90808.
