Peggy Hutcherson Obituary

H UTCHERSON-Peggy Hutcherson, Born July 24, 1936 to Eli and Ester Hutcherson. Attended Pasadena school system. A gifted singer and actress. She recorded with Gerald Wilson's orchestra, A Raylette with Ray Charles, Duke Ellington and with Pearl Bailey in "Hello Dolly" and "the Wiz". She studied and taught acting with Bea Richards appearing in many plays including "Norman is That You". She became ill in the summer of 2004. Passed Jan 12, 2005 of Cancer. She is survived by her brother Bobby Hutcherson, his wife Rosemary, sons Barry, Jasiri and Teddy. Grandchildren Aric, Krystin, and Jessica. Funeral will be held at Angelus Funeral Home, 3875 So. Crenshaw Blvd. Tues Jan 18, 2005 at 11 a.m.
