ARMIJO, Richard Jr.
Richard "Rick" Gene Armijo Sr. went to be with the Lord Jesus on November 3, 2012 due to natural causes. Rick was born on September 2, 1953 and was married to his wonderful bride Lisa Potter on December 19, 1970. He is survived by his loving wife Lisa Armijo, 5 children and their spouses, 8 grand children, and his large extended family.
He was the worship leader for New Hope Community Church in El Monte California and he also was a counselor for anger
management drug and alcohol. Since 2007, Rick has been faithfully serving on the Board of Directors for Faith Community Church of Tulare.
Rick had such a passion for music and he especially loved playing the drums. He played many instruments like the guitar, bass, piano and keyboard. Rick would record his own music at home and make CDs to give out to others. Over the years he had joined up with many local Christian bands and he loved playing in events to spread the love of Jesus.
It was obvious to those who knew him that Rick's main interests were his family and leading others into the presence of Jesus in worship.
Viewing and visitation service will be Friday November 9 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at Oakdale Mortuary 1401 S. Grand Ave., Glendora CA 91740 626-691-2000.
Funeral services will be held Saturday November 10 from 9"00am to 12:00 noon at New Hope Community Church 3041 Peck Road, El Monte CA 91731 626-442-2554
