Susan Tracy entered eternal life on October 16, 2013. She was diagnosed with cancer in April and fought hard to live. She was at home where she was cared for by her daughter and friends. Her spirit is carried on by family and friends from every walk of life. Susan was born in Omaha, NE into a large Polish Catholic family. Although she only has one younger brother Dan, she has hundreds of cousins. She attended all girls' catholic school and worked at age 14 in her parent's restaurant. Then, Suzi Tracy came to Long Beach in 1972
..She was finally in California! Suzi worked at Lombardo's Restaurant where she met the love of her life and husband of 29 years, Michael Tracy. She also worked at Phil Trani's, and of course opened Tracy's Bar and Restaurant with Mike in 1994. She built a following of customers that stayed loyal where ever she was. They sold the business and purchased a second home in Cantamar, Mexico
but Suzi continued to work, as she loved, to continue to shop. They had two children Richard and Katie. Suzi was very active in both her 2 kids and grandson's life. She was involved in Long Beach Little League, Long Beach Bobby Sox Softball and Fremont PTA as carnival chairwoman. Suzi lit up any room she walked into and will be missed by many. She is preceded in death by her husband Mike Tracy, and son Richard Tracy. She leaves behind her daughter Katie Tracy and grandson Zachary Tracy. A funeral Mass will be held Saturday November 9, 2013 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Belmont Shore at 11:00 A.M. Followed by a celebration of life at Tracy's Bar and Restaurant.
