Violet Marie Sampson

December 8, 1919 - March 22, 2014

Violet was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. Her first husband Tony died in WWII. They lost a baby at birth. Violet moved to California in the mid 1940's she then married Carl, her husband of 55 years. Violet worked at Safeway for 15 years. She enjoyed volunteering at St. Mary's Hospice and serving at her church St. Dominic Savio. She is survived by her sons, Victor and Vincent; daughter-in-law, Diane; grandchildren, Jennifer (Ian), Kristen, Nicole (Craig), Andy (Taryn) and Kim (Al); and great-grandchildren, Gerard, Aunna, Destiny, Ethan, Delilah, Nathan, Chase, Bentley and Alijah. Services will be held Monday, March 31, 2014 at 10 AM at St. Dominic Savio Church in Bellflower. The Burial will be at All Souls Catholic Cemetery in Long Beach immediately following the service.
