GROSSO, Frank D.

Frank D. Grosso 1922 - 2014. Frank was born in 1922 in Buffalo, New York to Rose and Victor Grosso.

He graduated from a technical school with an emphasis in mechanical engineering in Buffalo, New York. After graduating, he followed his three brothers enlisting in the army during WWII. Frank served as a paratrooper in the Pacific ending his service with the occupational forces in Japan.

Frank pursued a career in mechanical engineering continuing his education at New York State University in Buffalo, New York. He worked at several top aerospace companies including Bell, Hughes and Lockheed/Martin. The Cobra helicopter engine was one of the many projects he worked on.

Frank was passionate about family, friendship, golf, and USC football. He was a very generous, caring, and loving man who formed many friendships in his daily life. He will be deeply missed.

Frank's brothers Daniel, Sabastian, and William, and his sister Catherine (Caperella) preceded him in death. He is survived by his sisters Lucy Pennella and Rita Cicciarelli , his wife Lourita (MacNeill), his step daughters Elizabeth (MacNeill Crown) and Kathy MacNeill, and many nieces, nephews, and family.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on May 30, 2014 at Saint Andrews Catholic Church in Pasadena. Interment with graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. on June 2, 1:00 at Mission San Luis Rey in Oceanside.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mission San Luis Rey de Francia in Oceanside, or the Prince of Peace Abbey in Oceanside. Cabot and Sons, Pasadena
