George M. Caldwell
August 29, 1921 ~ January 31, 2012
Was born Monday, August 29, 1921 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son if Willard L. and Edythe L. (Rungyan) Caldwell. He passed to his Heavenly home Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the age of 90 years.
He served our country with honor and pride during
World War II
, as a member of the
United States Navy
. In 1949 he married the love of his life and best friend. Frances Cummings. George was an electrician by trade and worked for the County of San Bernardino 19 years and later the City of Lake Arrowhead where he retired in 1981. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, enjoyed traveling, eating, and square dancing. Most of all George loved being with his wife and family.
Beloved husband of Frances Caldwell, Loving father of Steven Caldwell, Ken Caldwell, Terry Caldwell and Debbie Ward. Devoted grandfather of 9 precious grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
The family will greet friends at the funeral home for visitation, Thursday, February 9, 2012 beginning at 11:30 A.M.
Funeral service will be conducted at 12:15 P.M. in Akes Family's "Chapel of The Chimes" with Pastor Ted Fiddler, officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow at 2:00 P.M. in Riverside National Cemetery. Friends are asked to gather in assembly area No. 1
