Laura B. Mancini of Azusa, California, went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, November 7, 2012. Laura was the youngest of 8 children, born to Antonia and Simon Najera.
Longtime educator and resident of Azusa, Laura was an advocate for all things fair and just. She taught English as a Second Language for over 30 years in the Azusa School District. She loved her students and enjoyed teaching each day and evening.
She had a heart of full of life and love. She enjoyed travel, socializing, the theater, gardening and time spent with family. She enjoyed learning. She was a strong woman who supported her family in every way. She is an excellent example of someone who worked hard and strived for excellence in everything she did.
Laura had a beautiful smile that could light up a room.
Laura is survived by her 4 grown children, Anna, Viola, Mario and Lucia. Laura also leaves a legacy through her grand- children, Monica, Leo, Brettania, Carlo, Caitlin, Sarah, Christina, Cathleen, Solomon and Michael and her great grandchildren, Alina, Nadia, Elias, Laila, Zaia and Bella. These grandchildren brought much joy to Laura's years. Visitation will be held Monday, November 12, 2012 from 6-9pm with vigil at 7:00pm at Whites Funeral Home in Azusa. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 9:00am at Saint Frances of Rome Catholic Church in Azusa. Whites Funeral Azusa assisting the family
