Francis Peter Swenton
Francis Peter Swenton passed away suddenly on 11/24/12. He was born on 3/6/59 in Queens, NY, grew up on Long Island and last resided in Signal Hill. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy, aboard the U.S.S. Marvin Shields stationed in Australia, working as a Fire Control Technician. He was later employed at the Long Beach Naval Shipyard in the capacity of Electronics Tech, followed by The Department of Defense at the Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station and most currently was an Airway Transportation Systems Specialist with the FAA at LAX. Frank met treasured friends through the government and enjoyed his affiliation with the Pacific Coast Golf Club, where he served as treasurer for several years. Since childhood, he was a fan of the New York Mets, Giants and Islanders. He is survived by his children, Anjolie (grandaughter Elyssameri) and Alex (AK); parents, Frank and Marilyn (PA); sisters, Bernice and Terry (PA); brothers, Ronnie (NY) and Christopher (FL); and long-time girlfriend, Virginia.
