Gordon Edward Roberts, Jr.
Was born on March 19, 1944 in San Antonio, Texas. Raised in Harriman, Tennessee, Gordon was exposed to the charm of southern hospitality. The family moved to Ontario in 1955 where Gordon attended Vina Danks Middle School, Chaffey High School and Chaffey College.
Gordon worked as an Engineer for the City of Whittier and numerous construction jobs as a carpenter glazer and sub contractor. He was most proud of his time as a Detective with Ontario Police Department and Loss Prevention Supervisor with Vons.
Gordon was an avid sportsman. Though not officially a Master Carpenter, his skills rivaled those who were, and he has left behind many examples of his craftsmanship for his family to enjoy.
Gordon is survived by his wife of 33 years (Katie), his 3 daughters: Linda Roberts, Debbie Lafrenz (Randy), and Christy Roberts; his sister Pam Smith (Michael), his brother Tom (Myrna); brother-in-law Charles Berkowitz (Cathy); sister-in-law Susie Castillo (David); grandson Steven Lafrenz (Ashley); granddaughter Alyssa; great granddaughters Riley and Brooklyn and nieces and nephews: Karen and Robert Sherman, Matt Smith, Shelly Berkowitz, Wendy Owens (Eddie), Robyn Berry (Greg), Robert Salcedo, Jessica Medina and Daniel Kraft.
