Ubrun, Alice Louise - Riverside  
ALICE LOUISE UBRUN, age 92, passed away on December 10, 2014 at Blessed Elder Care Assisted Living in Riverside, CA surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Born October 3, 1922 in Los Angeles to Raymond and Lily Sampson. She lived in Pomona, CA and later moved to Riverside. She attended Chemawa Jr. High School where she met the love of her life and future husband Gus Ubrun. Alice married August "Gus" Ubrun in 1940 and remained married for the next 67 years. Alice resided in Chula Vista while Gus was in the Navy. They moved to Riverside where they resided for 41 years; lived in Lake Arrowhead for 18 years and then Riverside for the remainder of her life. Alice is survived by her daughter Elaine Fielding (Kenny) and son Alan Ubrun (Pam); 5 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Gus; her parents; 3 brothers James and William Sampson, and Robert Lohman; 2 sisters, Jeanette Thomas and Bonnie Griffes and 1 great-grandson, Christopher Fielding. Alice was a full time mother and homemaker with brief employment at Mava Malt Shop and Carpenter's Department Store in Arlington. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 18 from 4-7 p.m. at Preston & Simons Mortuary, 3358 Mission Inn Ave., Riverside. Services will be on Friday, December 19 at 10:00a.m. at Preston & Simons Mortuary; graveside services and interment to follow at Olivewood Memorial Park, 3300 Central Ave., Riverside, CA.
