Craig L. Horne

CRAIG L. HORNE Craig L. Horne, of Temecula, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2013 in Murrieta, CA. Craig was born in Napa, CA and was raised in Tahoe. As a young teen his family moved to Fullerton, CA. He met his wife Melinda through a friend and it was love at first sight. They had 2 children, Jenny and Kevin. The family started in Aguanga and they moved to Temecula 23 years ago. Craig and Melinda were very happy together, they were soul mates. Throughout their long marriage they enjoyed many vacations together. Melinda passed very suddenly in 2009 and Craig missed her dearly. Craig was a salesman in the drilling industry. He retired after 40 years of work. He had a great sense of humor and was always cracking jokes and yanking everyone's chain. He was very charismatic. He liked watching the Chargers play football and he enjoyed scary movies. He would sit in his recliner with his headset on enjoying the sounds of Vince Gill, Bob Dylan and BB King while snacking on hard candy and peanuts. He was a strong Christian. He loved the Lord and his family. Craig was preceded in death by his wife Melinda. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Jennifer and Steve Ronneburg; son Kevin; brother Marc; sisters Sherry and husband Eddie Ramos, Debbie and Bel Alanis; and 3 grandchildren, Allison (Alli, 7), Andrew (6), and Aaron (2). Craig's Life will be celebrated at 1 PM on Saturday, June 8, 2013, at Sunridge Community Church, 42299 Winchester Rd, Temecula, CA 92590. He will share a resting place with his wife Melinda at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, CA 92518.
