She was an avid reader and enjoyed promoting the arts to all of her students on her own at a time when they were being cut from school budgets. She retired from Alvord School District in 2006 after teaching 31 years. Dallas's proudest achievement was the birth and raising of her son Kyle. She is survived by her husband John, son Kyle, sister Ronda and her husband Roger, nieces Shelley and Misty and brother Craig. She was preceded in death by her mother Jane Margison. She leaves her family and friends a legacy of compassion, humor, lifelong education and amazing spirit. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the PTA of your choice.
