As a young family, they packed their weekends and vacation time with camping, boating and endless trips to Lake Havasu City, Arizona. And as always, family, friends, and fun were always part of that equation. Doug was a member of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department for 31 years, retiring as a Captain at the Jurupa Valley Station. Doug was a well thought of and dedicated member of the Sheriff's Department. He was highly regarded in the law enforcement community. Doug was also a devoted and loving husband, father, grandpa and friend to many with a thoughtful and considerate spirit. Doug is survived by his sons, Corey Borden and Collin Borden; daughter, Chelsie Klaine; brother, Dan Borden, as well as many family members and friends he touched so warmly. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice, and father and mother, Jake and Barbara Borden.
