Emma Scott(1930 - 2013)

EMMA SCOTT Emma Hart McLauchlan Burns Scott was born April 15, 1930 in Glasgow, Scotland. Emma crossed over on Friday, October 18, 2013 into the open arms of her one and only love, Allan, whom preceded her in death in 2007. Her family was blessed with the additional years she was here with them. Emma was an avid golfer but even more than golf she loved to dance. Her and Scotty were very well known and admired on the dance floor at the Elk's Lodge, as well as many other places. We thank John and Chris Hunter for taking such great care after Allan passed and keeping her Friday nights busy. She also enjoyed her weekly games of mahjong with the ladies. Wednesday night was reserved for her great friend Betty King, as that was their 'dinner and a blether night' they always looked forward to. But most of all Emma cherished her family. She enjoyed trips to her daughter Audrey's along the coast of the Palos Verdes shores. Thursday and Sunday nights were reserved for family dinner at her other daughter Sandra's. Emma was surrounded by her loving and dedicated family, daughters Audrey Scott, Sandra Doughty; son-in-law Skip Doughty; granddaughter Shannon Banuelos; grandson-in-law Justin Banuelos; grandson Shane Doughty, and her newest addition great-grandson Jaxxen Banuelos; as well as her loyal dog Luca. Her family would like to say a special thank you to her Cornerstone Hospice team, Jamie, Jon, and Lulu. They were absolutely awesome. There will be a memorial service on Sunday, October 27th at Colonial Country Club in the ballroom from 12-3pm. Please join us to celebrate the magnificent life of Emma. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the or Cornerstone Hospice who provided the wonderful care at the most difficult time.
