ERNESTO ARAGONEZ, 82, went to be with the Lord on July 15, 2014. He was born in San Diego on July 10, 1932 to Esther Marrujo and Emilio Aragonez. He received his GED and enlisted in the Navy. He served on the USS Pittsburgh from 1949 1953 and traveled around the world three times. Ernie wore many hats throughout his lifetime. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and son. He was also a poet, artist, musician, salesman, chef, minister, probation officer, drug abuse counselor, and dental technician. He had a large Mexico ministry, a prison ministry, ran a halfway house, and owned more than five upholstery shops. He is survived by former wife Virginia Aragonez; five children: Carolyn Dolin, Rosalie Basoco, Louise Rivas, David Aragonez, and Linda Aragonez; 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. His is also survived by former wife Celesta Aragonez, three children: Gina Rilke, John Brandom, and Jodi Archibald; and 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Elias Aragonez and grandson Daniel Rivas. A celebration of his life will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, July 26th at The Rock Church & World Outreach Center located at 2345 S. Waterman Ave., San Bernardino, CA 92408. He was loved by many and will never be forgotten.
