James S. Bomar

JAMES S. BOMAR July 22, 1941 - February 18, 2013 James Sherman Bomar, was born July 22, 1941 in Jackson, Missouri, son of the late Virgil S. and Gladys C. (Underwood) Bomar. A Riverside resident of 35 years, James worked 45 years as a pipe fitter/irrigation specialist, retiring in 2006. He had a remarkable spirit and lent a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a generous and thoughtful friend to everyone throughout his life. He was an avid fisherman and loved trips to State Line and the horse track. James passed away Monday, February 18, 2013 in Riverside, California at the age of 71 years. A dedicated and loving husband, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of over forty years, Marylee and a precious grandson, Kevin James. He will be remembered by his loving daughters, Jackie, Roxanna, Heather and Casey; cherished grandchildren, Brianna, Ashley, James, Chelsea, Matthew, Brent, Michael, Hayden and great-granddaughter, Kylie Jade. Also survived by his dear brothers and sisters, Virgil, Robert, Patricia and Carmen. "We couldn't have asked for a better man to be our father and grandfather. We love you and miss you." Graveside Funeral Service with Military Honors will be conducted Thursday, February 28, 2013 at 12:00PM in Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA.
