John J. "Jack" Quinlan

JOHN J. (JACK) QUINLAN A resident of Sun Lakes Country Club for over twenty years, was 89 years of age when he died on February 17, 2013. Jack was born on April 15, 1923, in Greenpoint Brooklyn, New York. He entered the USAF in July 1943 and spent 2 1/2 years in the European Theatre during World War II. He met his future wife, Eileen Anne Tuite, in December 1952. They were married in September 1954 and enjoyed a wonderful marriage for 51 years. Jack and Eileen were blessed with one son, John Jr. and his wife, Mary Beth, and their wonderful children, John Joseph III, Catherine Emma, and Stephen Patrick. John Jr. and Mary Beth and three grandchildren have been the life joy of their grandparents. Jack was preceded in death by his wife Eileen and his siblings Joan Hogan, Patricia Hook, and Robert Quinlan. Jack was employed by Lockheed Aircraft Service Company for 38 years. Jack and Eileen retired in 1985 and enjoyed many vacations visiting Europe and the National Parks in the United States. Jack, a Catholic, was a Eucharistic Minister since 1976, ministering to the home bound and those who were confined to nursing homes and hospitals. Jack was a hospice volunteer for eleven years and performed volunteer work in Banning, California. A Rosary will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church at 5800 E. Santa Ana Canyon Road, Anaheim Hills, CA 92807.
