KENNETH JOSEPH BRENNAN MAY 18, 1922 - JUNE 18, 2012 Kenneth passed away in his home at the age of 90 from Cancer surrounded by his nearest grandchildren Cadie, Preston, Kara, and Ben who was his companion and best friend. He was born on May 18, 1922 in Hackensack, Minnesota. He played football for Riverside Community College and made the All-City Team in 1941. He served in the Army
Air Corp from 1942-1944 as a Staff Sergeant. He had 35 missions as a Waist Gunner on the B-17 over France & Germany, D Day Veteran and witnessed our landing on Normandy on June 6th. He received the Good Conduct Medal, Air Medal and the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was accredited for downing a number of German Aircraft. He married the love of his life Betty in September 1945. When he returned to Riverside he started his own construction business and was one of the largest in Riverside at the time. He was in business for 53 years and hired dozens of employees including school teachers
, vacationing police and firemen. He was willing to hire any one who was in need of a job. He enjoyed hunting, golf, an avid bowler and building his own custom car. He is survived by his 4 children - daughter Kelly; sons Kevin and Kenneth; and 12 grandchildren. Memorial Service to be held on Friday, November 9th at 2:30pm at Riverside National Cemetery, Staging Area 6.
