Louise Dill

LOUISE DILL Louise Dill of Riverside, California died at her home on February 6, 2013. Vivian Louise Davenport was born in Cyclone, Missouri on February 7, 1927. Always called "Louise", she was the sixth and youngest child of Jesse and Helene Vail Davenport. Louise married Gerald Dill in Fayetteville, Arkansas in 1949. They settled in the Riverside area in 1952. In 1974, after several years of substitute teaching, Louise began teaching in the Home Economics Department at Gage Middle School. She later became head of the department before retirement in 1984. She loved to teach, and she loved her students. Survived by husband, Gerald Dill; children, Margaret Zola (Len), Robert Dill, Carolyn Page (Jerry); Grandchildren: Jesse Dill (Amy), Jonathan Dill (Jenny), Sarah Dill; great grandchild: Titus Dill (son of Jesse and Amy); brother: W. Randolph (Randy) Davenport; sisters-in-law: Nan Osborn, Lucille Davenport, Janet Davenport, Barbara Hoover; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Louise professed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She touched many lives with her love, patience and kindness. Tribute and Memorial Service will be held at Arlington Mortuary, 9645 Magnolia Avenue, Riverside, California 92503 on Saturday, March 9 at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to The Salvation Army Riverside Corps, 3695 First Street, Riverside, California 92501 would be appreciated.
