Nancy Lou Jean Barker

NANCY LOU JEAN BARKER Age 78, passed away at home of natural causes on June 5, 2013. She was born on April 20, 1935 in Spring Grove, Minnesota. She was a resident of Riverside, CA for 49 years, previously of Minnesota and Idaho. She was a loving wife of a military veteran, a beautiful mother who raised 7 wonderful children, homemaker and breast cancer survivor. In the late '60s she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for Station 17 Fire Dept. in Glen Avon and once coached girls' softball. She was an avid power walker and quilt maker. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Thomas Barker; daughters Judith Treangen of Clarksville, TN, Julie Treangen, Penni Ilizaliturri, Kim Treangen and Michelle Treangen, all of Riverside, CA; sons Verlyn Treangen of Corona, CA and Richard Treangen of Riverside, CA; sister Jackie Varberg of Arizona; brothers Gerald Norskog of Montana, Odel Norskog of Arizona and David Amunrud of Montana; step daughters Nancy Hilpert, Christine Barker; step sons Tommy Barker & Mike Barker; 18 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; 9 step grandchildren; 8 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Julius and Mina Norskog; sister Ann Bratland; and brothers Merlin Norskog and Don Norskog.
