R.B. Edsal Farley

R. B. EDSAL FARLEY R.B. Edsal Farley passed gently into the night on January 14th, 2013 at Parkview Hospital at the age of 89, after a long battle with heart disease. Born in 1923, in a small farming community in Ogemaw County, MN, he joined the Navy at 17 and served in WWII and the Korean War on the USS Bronson and a nuclear submarine. He received honors for saving an Admiral's life who almost drowned. After 22 years in the Navy he worked for the California State Prison System as an engineer where he retired again after 17 years. He and his first wife, Wilma had a son, Rodney Farley of Yucca Valley. After Wilma's death, R.B. married Naomi Robson with whom he lived until his death. He will be sorely missed.
