Robert Earl "Bob" Russell(1934 - 2013)

ROBERT "BOB" EARL RUSSELL Born Aug. 17, 1934 Darlove, MS, passed away in Corona, CA on Sept 17, 2013. He is survived by his daughter, Doris Thomas; 2 grandchildren, Chris Blanchard and Deana Holznecht; 6 great grandchildren, Josh and Aimee Blanchard, Ryan and Sarah Brown, Ali and Nick Holznecht; two great- great- grandchildren, Gavin and Lawson Brown; two brothers Larry and Boe Russell. Robert joined the army after high school in 1955 and when he left the service in 1957, he came to Riverside, CA. He worked in Corona for Evans (Plywall) Products where he met and married Vera Tunstead. They were married 53 years when she passed away in 2012. He returned to school at Riverside College in the late seventies and earned his Associates degree. When Evans Products moved out of state, he worked at many other local businesses, as well as being a partner in a landscaping business "Four Seasons". During his retirement years he was employed seasonally for H&R Block. Bob was a caregiver for many family members; his mother, Myrtis Russell, his mother-in-law, Mabel Bay, and his sister-in-law Ferne Mounts. Last but not least he not only was a caregiver for his wife, Vera, but he was instrumental in Vera's success in the Mary Kay Cosmetics business. It was Bob and Vera's wishes to be buried together when he passed away. There will be a graveside service Friday, October 25th at 10:00 AM at Sunnyslope Cemetery in Corona for Bob and Vera. In lieu of flowers, donations to the in Bob's name would be appreciated.
